I have a dream theater album, but honestly, they aren't really a band I can stand listening to when I'm not stoned. A lot of their songs are too drawn out and inconsistent sounding from one song to the next.

this actually made me el oh el IRL. I listen to Tool in my truck all the time. Most of the time I'll crank it up during specific parts of a song. For instance during wings for marie part 2 the part where Maynard says, "fetch me the spirit, the son, and the father. Tell them their pillar of faith has ascended. It's time now, my time now, give me my, give me my wings."

or the drum solo during 46 & 2.

Shame on me, but I just never got into Tool. I had friends show me their songs, but I just never thought "WHOA! This is something I MUST have!" I'll have to revisit them.

I'm also gonna check out APC. All the creepy kids in high school liked them, and so I was just kinda like... uhhhhh

Haha, they really aren't goth or anything, definitely somewhat dark on the first album, the second album isn't quite as dark.
