Old School Image Dynamics Horn Tweeters

Ok I will do later on today after work But I have a sorry *** jvc I'm trying to get me a pioneer 80prs

What u mean band pass LPF & HPF at the same time??
To run horns, since they can play lower than tweeters by a large margin, you wont' really be able to use the crossovers that come stock with most speakers, as they are usually mated to a small tweeter.. However, once you get yorur 80prs, it can do all the crossovers, so that will take care of it. What kind of a budget were you looking at for your mids, and how big are your Cerwin Vega speakers.. can you fit a 6.5 or even a 8 up front in the doors?

6.5 I know I can always mod the doors my boss was telling me to throw some 8s in front and seal and deaden the door but I'm on a tight budget bro.......

But will be able to get some ok components for a nice price right....

You don't need componets bro you got the horn. Now get a active desk plus some nice mids.

Not sure how much room you have?

Or how big you want to go in the doors?

I have a 2 door tahoeDoors are big
Think about modding for an 8 if possible, but since you have that 80prs and horns, you don't want components.. You can buy some very good pro audio mids, just the mids no crossover for VERY nice prices compared to car audio speakers.

These would work great as 6.5's to mate with horns, and are def great on a budget. The price is per speaker, so even with shipping your talking less than $100 and they will easily get louder than both sets you have now, plus you can get them in 4 ohms.

US SPEAKER Home Page Menu - Speaker Cabinets, Guitar & amp; Bass Amps, upgrades and custom design. The world’s widest choice of speaker parts. “If you have listened to live music, you have almost certainly listened to Eminence”

If you can fit 8's, they make an 8inch version at a similar pricepoint, same deal, go for it in the 4ohm version.

Thanks man that's tight I'm bout to check them out about modding the doors should I keep the original 6.5 hole in door and use cut outs to fit the 8"???

Yeah, those wont' keep up with horns whatsoever.. What deck are you running.. Also do you have a amp that can bandpass lying around.. LPF and HPF at the same time? If your going to run horns, take the time to give them an install worth running them. If you do it right, you probably won't want to go back to conventional drivers.. Post pics of the horns as well, so we can see which ones you have.. take a pic of the driver and the horn body.

Are past my comfort level but I wouldn't sell bro my boss shot them and I wouldn't sell something that was given to me! Sorry

You may Want to think Bout switching out the compression driver on those... Those are the cd1e.. its a cheap piezo tweeter mounted to that horn.. for very modest money yoh can make a MUCH better speaker.. like 100 dollars and you'll be in a whole different level of sound.. like going from a low line speaker set up the middle or upper tier set.. your hu crossover is sufficient.. however, do a capacitor like I showed you because it will help the frequency response a bunch.. ify oir interested, I can link some cheap but good true compression drivers that will fit those horn bodies.
