Old School Image Dynamics Horn Tweeters

You may Want to think Bout switching out the compression driver on those... Those are the cd1e.. its a cheap piezo tweeter mounted to that horn.. for very modest money yoh can make a MUCH better speaker.. like 100 dollars and you'll be in a whole different level of sound.. like going from a low line speaker set up the middle or upper tier set.. your hu crossover is sufficient.. however, do a capacitor like I showed you because it will help the frequency response a bunch.. ify oir interested, I can link some cheap but good true compression drivers that will fit those horn bodies.
I dunno how to do that bro.... God I wish there was someone in my area that has knowledge about these cuz if I tried to mees with them I wouldn't want to mess them up u know and If I go somewhere there going to want a arm and a leg gosh bro if only.....

Should be 4 bolts holding them to the body.. undo 4 bolts put new driver on, put bolts back on.. can't figure that ot you have no business doing your own car lol.. look at the body, should be easy to see how it goes. Anyway you can try them as they are for now, but a true compression driver sours much better.

Lol hey.. I can take apart amps replace certain parts run car audio all day but recones and messing with the speakers like solder or open I'm low key scared hahah

But seems easy enough I think I'll try

yeah it isn't hard and not a requirement.. They just used a really bottom barrel driver on those that isn't a compression driver.. Good news is they all used the same horn body more or less, the cd1e body was actually preferred over some of the others.. Plus since that's the true "car audio" component, it's generally the pricier part. Anyway even if you unscrew it from the body, the driver is protected.. It's not truly apart, until you take off a few more bolts on the driver itself. So feel free, it's safe I promise.

Thanks bro built my confidence up a lil.... Lol

Ok I'll check up on. These horns a lil more but if I can't get them right I'll give them back to my boss.....

Also I do not know where to mount them in my 2door tahoe no space under dash or to mount as kick panels !!!

2dr Tahoe? I assume you are referring to the 90s model Tahoe. I had one and there is just no room specifically on the passenger side to where you can mount them and have any clearance for the drivers.

Ouch.. yeah if you cant' get these under the dash, IMHO, give them to someone who can.. Shoot I'll take them as I really do need a new set of the bodies.. You can throw the drivers in the trash, they are literally worthless (serious there'd be no point in reselling them)

The horns dispersion pattern is designed to work when you put the horn under the dash. Anywhere else and the horn won't be directing the sound where it is supposed to go, up and towards the center of the car.

Only 2 bolts hold them on...super simple.
I know bro it's just not place under my dash or anything in that front area lol.....

With good mid bass speakers and an awesome crossover they will sound great! And remember these are super efficient and only require a third of the power as your mids! If any one is interested I have a set of bodies and one original motor looking to trade for a big woofer that can handle over 1000watts of clean power!
