Old school goodness .... :)

Thats weird the thunders that came later used that heatsink as well on the black finish. My guess is that they ran some of the later white series with the ridged heatsink and called it the xw with the same internals, then scrapped the x and w for the next series. Non the less, sick:)
i don't think they had just a thunder 2300, weren't they all 2300x's or 2300xw's. I tried searching just mtx thunder 2300 in google and not much came up, but when i searched 2300x or xw i got stuff

differen specs on the thunder 2300.. hmm.

what specs are different. The 2300x is rated at 600x1 at 12.5 and so is the 2300.my amp is the same as the black one but white with chrome letters. Mtx used to archive their amps and they had that one listed as a 2300x.hmmmm

The x is listed as the one i posted on the http://www.mtxaudio.com website, they don't list the one with the red lettering as far as I can see.

I thought the 2300x was rated 200x2... but i may be wrong, it probably is 150x2 mine no longer has the sticker on the back.

no they are rated the same at 12.5 and 14.4 volts. 150x2 at 4,300x2 at 2 and 600x1 at 4 mono. I wish i could find the arcives mtx amps information to show you

So the mint 4300x I was expecting to recieve came damaged in the mail USPS..... packaging was decent enough where I don't think it shoud have been damaged because of poor packaging... but the gain pot is snapped off and just spins around in all different directions freely, and the speaker terminals were pushed in a bit..... g' dammnit.

That really sucks, I hate to hear that. Insurance claim maybe?
I don't know.. i mean the only thing that i am not happy about is the broken gain. All the other things don't bother me much.

ARGH.

Waiting for sellers response pics:
