Featured Old School Cool

What's old is apparently new again.
I just like the fact that it has a damn volume KNOB. How many times have I been cranking music, then try to lower it in a hurry, only to have the software simply stop responding to the volume control until I release and press it AGAIN...

I just read about this last night. Pretty cool for that old school look with the new school options.

I've read multiple threads on the J23 1.5 going kablooey. Enough where it seems a trend.
And I have a signature series that went kablooey when someone else owned it. Gonna see if I can resurrect it.
Apparently many units were getting hot and causing issues with functionality. So much so that D4S had to make a video talking about properly mounting the amps so that they can get the required air flow to cool them. Basically it was due mostly to operator error.

Interesting. They have a fan in there, and vented the bottom plate.
The part that's usually mounted flat against a board, lol.

Back in the day, we had massive heatsinks vs output power and you rarely ran into these problems.

It's why I am looking for some rubber or silicon standoffs for my JP77.
It's a good idea to put risers under any amp tbh...no such thing as too much air movement.

I'm not a d4s fan (and i hate sticking up for price) but other than the Bluetooth board issues I've never seen one of their amp die without some user error involved.
