Featured Old School Cool

I rocked one of these in the 10" DVC variety in my 1988 Ford Ranger. That sub hit the really REALLY low notes.

There seems to be a good mix of old and young members on the site.
How about the oldies sharing memories of the past for the young guns to see what it USED to be like?

Pictures, designs, anything you can find, even if it's shared from elsewhere on the 'net (reference it to be fair).

I'll start with an advert from Car Stereo Review. Miami Vice pastels!

I started on this site when there was less than 100 members. I didn't start to officially compete until 2002. I remember being the young guy and looking at the older guys thinking I'll be them one day...and here I am, 47 and about to build a '97 Integra hatchback. PROS (Please Respect the Old School)

Here's my set up with two different subs. This was in 2002-2003.
Amp was a Cadence A7hc. The score was the same with the B15 and the PBX 15....146s dB on 1200w
This was in a 2000 Cavalier 2-door.

The Brahma 15" and Cadence will be going into the '97 Integra build with an old Punch 800a4 pushing JBL Stadium 6.5s and 5.25s

This thread had potential. I guess the OP just wanted to get the Admins off his trail so he could keep trolling in the political thread. What a shame.

I remember the first car stereo I had installed professionally in a car. I had a pair of Kicker Comp C104's and a Kicker impulse 5 channel amp. I may have to do a tribute to that stereo if I get another Nissan car.

You know if someone was a professional installer if you ever see these in their toolbox. I opened up a box and found some of my old install tools that you might only have if you did this stuff for a living. I have more to come.

Multi-Tool to remove factory radios, including the 5-sided bit to remove BMW radios.

DEI Bitwriter to program the old DEI alarms, like Viper, Matrix, Avital, Sidewinder, etc...
