i've gotten many old coins from working at a convienent store over the past year and a hlaf or so. ontop of what my grandmother gave me, and my great grandmother as well as what my mother has been given..

i gots some monies...

The nice thing about this analogy is that it uses two commodities, and compares them with an independent variable. The $5 silver vs $5 paper is not the same type of argument. We would first need to define an independent variable that represents the value to society of both paper money and silver.

An easy way of looking at it: does inflation occur because the goods are more valuable, or because the paper is less valuable? I think we all know the answer to that.....

Depends on how many pieces the lead is.. If is is fine like buck shot or smaller, then big deal.. It it is packed into a brick , AND the feathers are compressed and packed the same, then whats the difference?

as for the $5 silver and $5 bill analogy.. This will only work with market fluctuations.. If you traded the bill for $5 in silver 5 years ago, One of them would be worth more than the other today.

If you trade them at noon today, then chances are at 12:05 today, they are still the same!
