Its off to work i go....
Ok, i currently work at a resort in iowa making 8.65 and working forty a week. My wife got canned from her last job (she makes a heck of alot more money) and we decided to move. I originally told my boss three and a half weeks ago(so she has had a two weeks notice) i would finish the month since our schedule is a month in advance and if i could stay here on site(which numerous employees do) i would stay through december while my wife is 100 miles away doing her job which starts tomorrow. heres the good part..... I have a real good chance of getting on at a job in the new town for 5 bucks more an hour, but its not guaranteed. My boss here has not committed to letting me stay on site, only posted a ad for the job online and in the paper on the 6th and she has not been responding to my texts about me needing a place to stay. my $hit is packed and ready to be Uhauled so my question is... stay or go...

I'd hate to sound like a condescending *** like everyone else on this forum when work comes up.

But, you can easily replace an $8/hr job. That's nearly any part-time job. Move.

for me its kinda hard. in iowa we dont pay well but everything is friggin expensive.. and being a two time felon does not help in the job interview.

Wow, Burgerking, you **** at spelling.

But, yeah. UPS jobs are rewarding after a while, or so I hear. But they work you like a dog at the beginning.

But I know what you mean about prejudice during job interviews.

I can't get a job worth hell with my Mohawk, even though I have outstanding test scores, and my previous work experience is vast.
