OK to run a sub without power?

I've got a dual ported enclosure.

Amp puts out 150 RMS.

Both subs take 400 RMS.

To get sound until the new amp gets here, I'm driving a single sub at 150 watt.

The sound pressure looks like it's driving the other driver passively since the chambers are connected. Any possible complications other than hit to sound quality?

why not just run the power you have to bolth subs, it would be much louder

The subs are rated 400 RMS each.

I have one sub at 150RMS currently. Hence why I'm doing this.

There is literally no such thing as "not enough power to drive two". Hook them both up and quit worrying.

Only possible issue is wiring.

If you can hook them both up, even at a lower power, do it.

more info. whats the impedence of the subs? what is the minimm impedence of the amp????
