db, i know about the install. i said it needs to be about 3 cubes. i've never heard the xxx before. but the brahma is a monster. could someone tell me the AUDIBLE differences between the two? i've read the specs like a book.

Yep, they are very similarly matched, same motor technology, similar spider, suspension , cone materials. I personally havent heard both, but most people that have (ie. Stephen and Dan at Adire Audio) well you have to wait and see if they post here....

what the hell....the XXX got more votes than the SX. The XXX is a better sub imo but an SX would get louder...am i right or am i wrong.

Honestly given the correct power i've seen Good #'s with Orion H2 also the PG tantrum 1200.1 puts out more like 1450 rms not 1200 . With 1400 rms give or take and a correctly designed box the 15" SX may be louder then the XXX . Although Adire has proven that to get full potential you dont nessarily need the max rms of the sub so it boils dow nto wha texactly ur looking for in this setup also room issues.

ok well heres the criteria.

1. need one 15'' with at least 1200 watts (lookin at the jbl cause the pg is some $$$, does anyone know what the jbl actually puts out?)

2. Need around 3 cubes tuned at about 40-42, with port plug for 33 hz daily.

3. needs to get louder than 2 12'' tdx with 1100 watts on each (143.2 dbs)( i know ecko hit 142 at 33 hz with a bx1000)

so now that the h2 is out, brahma, xxx or sx? i'm still feelin the sx a lil. it sounds like it can get louder than the xxx and costs less. wheres dan when i need him?

What about the Power Bass Extreme? I own a Brahma 15 and a PBX 15 and SPL wise they are the same. If your looking for SQ then the Brahma or the XXX...I'm not saying that the PBX has poor SQ, but it's just not as good as either of those two. And for $300 shipped you can't go wrong. The jbl 1200.1 puts out 1200 rms the Pg tantrum can be picked up for 300- 320$ , JBL im thinkign around 280$. Depending where you get it from .

in that list I would choose the Orion, seeing some of the numbers shane and dan have been doing,

 

but the Atomic APX's are **** loud too
