ok i sold my sub., #1 C.A.B 12" anyone heard it? #2 whats xmax? #3 500rms push it?

you can run a 10000 watt amp to a 250 watt sub just through pre-amp adjustments alone. the gain, sublevel, head unit volume, EQ, loudness/bass boost ALL affect your amp's power output. You a lil rusty if you dont know these car audio basics.

 
IT'S COOL I was a long day of shopping and typing lol.. see I wanted sq 212 they say it sounds bad (and that from the guy that has 2-8" 312's with like 3k watts to them) they all say sundown E cause I don't have 800rms., bascily they agreed I may as well get the pioneer champ pro if I'm gonna go no more than 600rms cause I don't want electrical problems.. i even looked at idea of 2 cheap 10's maybe even sealed..I was ready to get American bass xd/xs may need large box for it though but man pioneer may not be the in thing but they like 300 4.8 star (average) reviews on just 2 sites and it placed 1st in top 10 subs sundown e was 10th.. I'm still confused
are you worried that you cant run 1200 watts because you have 4 gauge wiring instead of 0 gauge? because 4 gauge can handel 1200 watts all day

NO 2 weeks ago i was all ready to do big 3 upgrade almost ordered wire but battery in stupid place beside radiator and steal crash brace bar (what ever it's called) factory wires are to short to change terminals (wanta leave factory wires) so i could use side post i even have nice ones from last car but all those power wires would be like 1" from radiator cap and honestly my disabled 350 bro in law just came back from asst living home (gone 8 months) i don't have time for electrical problems during wiring or next yr because the side post gets hit with something etc., just 1 less problem out of the 300 i have and by the time i got wire connetors and all I'd have $60 I'd rather stay under 750 rms and not have to worry about + my batt tested low amps so may have to replace it soon anyway and that's just more wires to remove., sorry shoulda said I'm stressed poor and lazy lol.. keep in mind i only drive like 20mins most WEEKS., not worth 1200rms.. look at my thread about tire sale..

u saying 1200rms amp won't pull more power from alt than 600watt because of gain adjustment?, come one man, maybe ya'll just have better luck than i do my luck i set it up sounds great 2 weeks later i go to leave with disabled bro in law in car and it don't start he late to doctor that's the world i live in.. i got a headliner put in a car long long time ago blew 20 fuses over next week mechanic found they put screw through dome light wire, cost me $200 back when my pay was $5.50 hr.. ALL that said i ran 1200 amp + 600 amp stock stuff in 99 Altima but i doubt that concept was really 1200 more like 750 head lites did dim though

YEAH I knew u had to do the cam for that kind of increase.. not that many peeps I've seen have the inferno spoiler no one in my state that I've seen..

well none of it matters til I get sub and see how it does with my amp., if I can get sub cheap enough I can get better tuned box and box I'm looking at says 1.75 cfad but it's really 1.56 cf ad and that is perfect for pioneer and I highly doubt I would need more power for it.. I may want a better 600 rms amp cause this atek get hot as hell on bass cd's after 20 mins and that was on a 75 degree day.. point is no use in getting 1-1.5k if all I really need is box but I get what u saying.. I also read review guy running sundown E with 480 watts said it did great but if I get that it needs more air than the box I was looking at so need more $ for bigger box (I did make $250 ordering tires for peeps today but those days are few) and may still want another amp later don't wanta spend more $ on amp than I have to for little bit that I drive

The XFLs are a good sub, but 3" coil will be harder to move
HEY the box builder that I emailed ridicous offer to on the sq sub with custom birch ported box (FROM LAST THREAD) he wanted $208 HE JUST said he'd take my $165 shipped offer

but I saw later sub is d2 vc I need d4 and ya'll said don't get it but if he'll do $165 with sub maybe I could get stupid nice a** box for like $100 shipped from nh to nc.. he's just slow on emails man.. I know I have to wait a month on box but would it be worth it if I could get 5x better box built to my specs for like $40 more than basic?

if i was you i would get that amp. ur electrical will be fine. i ran an old memphis 1000 on a 75 amp stock alt and 4 gauge wire in my Mitsubishi eclipse. s hit pounded, did 146.2 on the meter. memphis was under rated back then so the phoenix gold and that memphis are comparable amps. the pg might be a couple hundred watts more but not so much of a difference that you would notice a voltage/amp issue.

so get the phoenix gold amp and that cab sub for 149 and you will be very happy. u will be under 300 dollars for sub and amp and you could use ur box u have now till u either build one urself or buy a new box. its better to have the power and not use it, then to want more power and cant get it. thats when people blow their subs trying to make something hit harder then it was suppose to.

I GOTTA figure out how to change my sig.. I love the way cab looks but I think I wanta stay under 25 pounds man like I say just getting a amp after I just bought a amp and gotta re wire that and just let it sit in trunk I guess and install sub and I don't need more than 140db I was thinking if that amp really does rated power I can run @ 4 ohm huge step up from what I have and really shouldn't do it but if I want better amp later it won't be less than $119 only reason I'm debating it.. still may just get pioneer sub and new box dude thats$266 new amp sub and box with almost 2x power I got now and amp won't be working hard at all

Not bad. My buddy was looking at that too. 3 year warranty as well. he wants to run that to a sundown SD 10 D4 at 2 ohms. Miles better than your autotek.
