ok i sold my sub., #1 C.A.B 12" anyone heard it? #2 whats xmax? #3 500rms push it?

sold my hp and a 3.6 cf dual ported box I had for years (used to have both hp's in there for those of u saying I aint never been loud they were destroying my car is y I went to 1 sub).. I am looking at $190 earthquake dbxi something 27 mm xmax 500rms, 5yr warranty., I like the $119 SQ 212 and would have ordered it but d4 are out of stock., American bass xs $95or xfl $189 I like them but I've seen made in china on magnets (I guess just bothers me because of the name) .. I know peeps will yell but also looking at $119 skar vvx v2 d4 18mm xmax (sq, pioneer pro, ab others have less xmax or smaller vc some even cost more w/ less xmax kicker comp R don't even list it that I could find) some of these should work well in my box *** the CAB should.. now power if I buy cheap sub $129 or less I could buy a cheap but better amp if I must but I'd like to work with what I got now also I don't want 1200 rms I'm keeping 4ga wire so at most like a real 600rms amp maybe I would do if I get sub that works in my 1.8cf ad box for (at least for few months maybe) or get low cost sub and better box., that pioneer 600rms, 2.5" vc rated #1 and have over a 100 almost 5star reviews just on 2 sites looks pretty good for $70 ebay.. also I looked at db and mms ratings on all and everyone said cab and sq need more power but than I have, but mms on cab is 187 about 86db that sound "lighter" than the hp I had which was like 226mms.. anyone know xmax on cab? I know this is around your 30th thread on generally the same thing but you seem like an alright guy so I am going to try and help you.

Can you answer a few questions please?

1) what are you replacing (sub, box, and power)?

2) what are your goals?

3) what car?

4) how much power and at what ohm do you have?

5) are you going to be building a box or using your old one?

I mean it said it on the sticker on magnet that's said American bass made in china.. it's on amazon.. most subs made there or close to china just saying u would think AB have to be made here with that name..

wow it's a 04 grand prix I really wanta stick with 1 12 ported, like I said if I go with a lower priced sub I could buy another box if needed but I'd like to use 1.8cf ad I have if possible most of those will work in there (2 recomend 2.5cf) I wont be making a box.. I'd like to keep my amp I even considered getting 2 cheap earthquake 10's 250rms each ported probably do well at 19mm xmax but all the dual prefab ported 10 boxes ($49-$80) are tuned to 50hz I looked at like 20 last nite.. I also thought of getting svc 4ohm $59 eq sub 27mm xmax and getting decent 400rms 2 channel amp or mono amp that does 400 at 4 ohm (like $99 or less) CAUSE THEY DISCONTINUED THE DVC version STUPID.. the soundqubed looks great 4ohm dvc also out of stock so if I got that one I could get amp that does say 700 rms @1 ohm and buy the 2ohm dvc.. so I'm open to some options just not expensive or amps that require me to upgrade wires or add batts..

No, its better than the Sa. Xmax is somewhere around 22-24mm

wish they'd list it and wish someone had heard it., i cant afford to put out that kinda $ and it just sit there looking pretty., i live on reviews.. based on those i should get sound qubed 212 $119 600 2.5" vc, pioneer champion 2.5" 600rms 96db ($70) or eartquake dbxi 500rms 27mm xmax but its $189,, skar vvx v2 is mix of those 18mm xmax 600rms $119 good reviews not perfect but good and saw pic of skar (huge) beside sundown e made it look like a 10.. decisions decisions....

The cab is the SAME sub as the sundown version. It is by far the best sub of the ones you mentioned and it isnt close

Displacement. But there is linear and non linear. There's more to it. Also xmax is the basket limit. It does not mean it will do it.
