ok i sold my sub., #1 C.A.B 12" anyone heard it? #2 whats xmax? #3 500rms push it?

are clamps 100% needed for making a box? i would think u could get by without them but i could be wrong. anyone know for sure?
NO but if u are making box alone it's nice to glue 2 board together get clamps on them then screw them down If u have peeps holding the boards it's fine.. my point ins not gonna spend $200-$400 on tools to make $160 box, I do have a saw but boards wouldn't be perfect when me using circular saw.. my neighbor is a cabinet maker and could make one of the nicest boxes in the world but that like his 3rd job 1 is deputy 2nd fireman and he charges tons for wood work so I ain't even gonna ask..

Its quite a bit stronger than that. Ive never seen sonic test this amp. Droppinhz did, and it was 1300@2 certified. I personally clamped (clamping isnt completely accurate) 1600w at 1.6ohm at like 12.4v.
It is a good amp, but I never recomend it. It was 339 when i bought it. They are 524$ now and that is too much imo. They are some of the weaker zenon amps. Id go with a synergy or twisted over this for 399. Also the bc2k had driver card failure issues. Mine blew after 2 months, but they did warranty it..... good amp, but better out there for way less money. For 599 you can get a synergy 35.1 which would stomp this amp
were u replying to my amp Q cause I guess I didn't put up link or it ain't there now.. this is amp I was asking about on ebay now used cheap. https://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_81646_Audiopipe-APCL-15001D.html editing so u don't have to read another reply.. I drove car 20mins today and sub does sound good pretty deep (box tuning) sub hits hard but not as much actual output as I thought it'd have (again it's turned down and ss filter preventing some lows for another week then I turn it down) but I think maybe wider port would help., most of the nice custom boxes I see still only have 1.5-1.75 wide portneed like 2.25 to make a difference some of the jl boxes on ebay look about right but not enough cf (like 1.3 need 1.6-1.75ad ) and still same size port..

There was no link. I assumed you were asking about crescendo.

Audiopipe is chinese. They do somewhat dirty power. I wouldnt run it, but the cost to power ratio is *ok*

You live next door to Gilstrap? He builds woofer boxes as well as long as you supply the plans.

I've built many boxes w/o clamps. Just recently I bought one and will be buying another. It's optional to use, not necessary. I'm getting older so finding myself to have help is gonna make things easier for me.

see that's what I mean u just won't believe a cheap sub cab be loud.. I at least think 3 pioneers could hit 145 if 3 infinitys did it cause they are so sensitive.. i'll find the top 10 list.. and edit this to add it.. yeah their aren't any high end subs on it at all I admit that.. I never said it couldn't be loud, I said it likely wouldn't even be in the high 130's if you were metered. You're the one held up throwing out numbers without really understanding what dB numbers mean. Who cares about numbers if you're happy? You keep getting held up on trying to defend the product and you do so by throwing out garbage numbers with no backing. It's good that you found a product that fit your needs, but there is no reason to spread misinformation. Just enjoy the sub!

Sensitivity isn't the end all be all. You keep tunnel visioning on one or two parameters and lose sight of the whole. I'm sure the pioneer is an ok sub for a budget build for someone trying to buy new. It's just not the sub for 99% of the people on this forum. It's like going to a chevy enthusiast forum and saying a geo metro (or a chevy spark if you want a current example) isn't a bad car for the money

Also if you decide to build a box in the future clamps aren't needed. They make things easier, but I've gotten by using just a jig saw and a drill in the past. You can always have Lowes or Home Depot make the long cuts for you....Just be OCD about the cuts accuracy since I've seen some terrible cuts made in the past.
