the one i have distorts with and without an external amp.
P.S it dosnt have a pre-out i used the high level.

You might as well use a factory HU then. Get a new HU. Go with the X693 if that's what you want. It doesn't distort in my GF's car, but then again, she doesn't turn the music up loud with me in there because I don't let her. I hate the crap she listens to.

If you set everything correctly, you shouldn't have distortion with any head unit.

yeah i think ill go with the x693 or the x493
