ohm help..

think of it as 2 separate box's running parallel parallel, then take the lead from each box and twist the positive from box a to the negative of box b, then connected the remaning 2 + and - leads to the amp what would this give me?

 
your descriptions are way to confusing.

from you last description, your @ 2 ohms. coils on subs are running parallel for a load of 2 ohms per sub. your then connecting 2 subs in one box in parallel for 1 ohm, now you have two 1 ohm loads series together for a final load of 2 ohms.

 
then like Bettr illustrated above, wire each subwoofers' pair of coils in series to make 4) single 8ohm voice coil subwoofers. if all your wires are coming out of the box, then you should have 4) positive and 4) negative wires. tie all 4 positive wires together (either at the amp or in one spot with a single wire going from there to your amp) and the exact same thing for the 4) negative wires. that will give you the DCR of 4ohms nominal that you are searching for.
