Oh Nooooo, has my sub been wired up wrong all this time?

Well, I still don't know if everything was wired correctly to have the sub perform the way it should. Just always seemed like it should have been so much louder (more bass) than it did. Especially after watching videos on YouTube of guys putting the same sub in ported boxes and getting 144 db's

Don't get me wrong. I got the sub and sealed enclosure for the SQ. Just seems like it would be able to do better. Guess we will see soon

If you don't know the ohm impedance than find a DMM and check. Then go to any sub wiring diagram on google and see if its correct. No one here is going to be able to tell you if its correct until you know the sub impedance.

Ported is almost always considerably louder than sealed. You do have it ran in series. Once you figure out the impedance of the coils just add them together to get final impedance.

When I checked it with the DMM, it shows 2 ohms for each voice coil.

So...... If I had it wired the way I mantioned, was it wrong?
