A huge "big three" upgrade.

I currently have 2 mtx thunder 8000s on a cx1200.1 at 1.2ohms although I know I'm beating on the amp quite bad it seems to be ok so far. They are in a large 4.2cubic foot prefab box. They are extremely loud for what they are especially now sense I have done some electrical upgrades my friend who lives about 1/4 mile away from my bass testing spot was able to hear it inside although it's just 2 12s in a box in a trunk with no damping or modifications. Although I want to get some new subs and a good amp. I'm Actually thinking of keeping these for a while. I have just got a 220 amp H/O alternator and still have the same setup and stock charging wiring harness but im able to absolutely max these subwoofers out. The stock wire at the alternator that feeds a distribution fuse block is only like 8 gauge then a 4 gauge battery load wire to the battery in the back under the seat. Thanks gm for that. I also have some 4 gauge wire for the hot going to the amp with a cheap 300amp in line breaker which is causing resistance as it gets warm, from the battery to the amp. This is the sad part. Back when I first did this i was kind of stupid and used 12 gauge (I know it's awful) for the ground which is just as important as the load wire and as I found out today blasting it even 4 gauge is warming up quite a bit after 10 minutes or so. I'm imagining I'm getting a whole hell of allot of resistance at that overly long 12 gauge ground with a crapy little splice connector in the middle do to a wire shortage awhile ago. So now I have 50feet of some super flexible 0 gauge and some 0 gauge to 4 gauge adapters for the amp and a 300 amp anl fuse. I'll be doing a big three upgrade and all zero gauge to the amp. I'm thinking I'm in for one hell of a difference because right now I'm still getting voltage drops and the amp cuts out which I'm thinking is partly do to the crap wiring and also because I need a second battery in the back which I'm working on I want to isolate an xb power 4800d in the back with a voltage monitor up front. How big of a difference do you think I will see? Right now even with the H/O 220 amp alternator I'm still dropping voltage to the point of the amps protect cutting out. I'm thinking maybe with the wires gone and less resistance the amp can be ran smoothly by the alternator with out all of that power loss in resistance. Oh btw why I'm calling it huge is because it's more like the big 5 in my car. Due to gm and their out of the ordinary under the seat battery design I have to replace the wire from the alternator to the fuse block under the hood. Then make a good ground from engine to frame for a good return. Then a good run back to the battery from the fuse block under the hood. Then from the battery over to a fuse box under the seat and then finally back to the amp through the 300 anl fuse. Big project but I'm thinking some huge results are awaiting my work.

EDIT: I just looked at the amp ground sense it's been quite while and it was tucked under the. Carpet. Well it melted pretty bad so sense resistance causes heat I'm imagining that wire was causing some serious resistance. I'm almost thinking its 14 gauge wire. I'm SMH at that decision. A scary thought that that wire was melting. Lesson learned. Bad wiring is a safety hazard and safety is first always. Make sure your wire can handle your current.

1. Well there went 2 minutes of my life reading something completely pointless.

2. There went probably 5 minutes of your life typing that

3. Quit rambling and do the big 3, every car is different so we cant say how much youll improve but itll be a hell of a lot than you mickey mouse crap you got going on.

4. You dont remive the stock wires you leave them i hope you know that... It sounds like youll be removing them dont.

Dafuq is with the novel?? I can't imagine there is that much to say about the big 3..
