Why argue. 20 years a man on Mars yet nasa is still doing testing on the human body's adaptations in low gravity. Not to mention i assure you its going to take a unique craft alone to navigate the belts and deep space. Matter fact ill be that the actual ship will be A designed as multiple ships for different sections of the trip or they will use several ships.

You say here job creation comes from innovating. actually its not really true. innovation is typically meant in this context as improving a technology or technique. AKA redefining a process or technology which is essentially a replacement so you aren't creating job expansion quite the opposite actually!

Generally new concepts are only implemented for 2 things they are more cost effective(reduction on labor or materials) or its overall superior in final product and profit margins can heighten.. So stop repeating **** you hear and trying to apply it as LAW and correct others when you are not correct.

First things first. making mars a habitual makes less sense than building a artificial housing on the moon. you realize why we stopped going to the moon? it had little to no value and two it was retarded expensive. going to mars and actually getting it sustainable will take hundreds of year with the current tech. granted humans are great problem solvers id say reasonable guess is 50 years since ion propulsion is here and just need 50 years to improve..

Nobody said robots were new. Nobody said automation hasn't existed for years. You've been stuck out in the swamp to long. Soon "robots" will be servicing "robots". Not your clueless ass. If you really believe that things aren't going to change within the next 30 years then you are in for one hell of a surprise.

clueless but i managed to teach myself nearly everything ive done and i make a decent living so yea by all means let that robot work in 120 degree weather while i sit at my chair giving the robot work orders. lol

we could have magnetic propulsion and wireless electricity but economics is a barrier as is for most other issues..

This is just the problem. People need to do their own research as I have done. That's like asking me to write your term paper. I'm not a news reporter. Because they have failed you, it is up to you the individual to do the research. I don't have the time to look up the facts again for you. **** how lazy. Automation already exist in nearly everthing. Job creation comes from banks making loans for small business and those businesses expanding.

Robots has been here for years its certinally nothing new. The nafta jobs we gave away where good jobs. Like ford sending 15% of its production to mexico is just one of many examples.

Automation presents issues. Instead of building the cars we have to build the machines that build them. Those machines need maintenance. Demand rises growth increase more machinery is needed etc..

The next 30 years won't change a huge deal things are going to get Smallerr more efficent and more advanced in automated control.

Eventually we are only going to work 2 or 3 days a week and a muminum wage per month is going to have to be put in place. eventually the rich are going to control all of the world's money but they will have more moderately rich people and than the "poor" people who make minimum set monthly wages.

The future of automation is at our door. it going to look different that what we have now. Like Slo ride said robots building and servicing robots. If the minimum wages keep trending upwards will see more of it, sooner rather than later.

Self driven cars, and trucks,... are close at hand. Just think the about 3.5 million truckers will be reduced to a small fraction.

I agree with you that technology will make us (humans) more and more obsolete.
