Any idea's on this?

JL audio VR650-csi components (driver, tweeter and passive crossover) - Running from a JL audio 300/4

Decided it was time to go active (using the alpine h701 processor) which was already being used and connected

Removed passive crossover from the jl audio components and wired everything active... everything connected correctly (not to mention sounded SAWEEEEET!)

Turned the car on and as i accelerated i got the ole 'alternator whine' from my front right tweeter..

Crap... So today I decided to go back to the original setup using the passive crossover.... no alternator ground whine

What gives??

Any idea what would or could cause that issue while running it active? I have some possible theories but I'd love to hear what you guys might think first.

some alpines and pionner have bad grounds on there rca jacks outputs so try to ground the rca jacks out puts to see if that helps and make sure your not running your power wire and your rca jacks on the same side

here's the thing... I'm not running my rca's from the alpine HU... I have the ai-net cable going from the HU to the H701 processor... the RCA's are connected to the processor.. The processor is grounded to the same distribution block all my amps are connected to.
