Odd gain problem

Ok, so i'm trying to set my gains so that i get 49 volts when bridged (600 rms @ 4 ohms). So i set each gain separately to 24.5 volts and then when i test the voltage bridged i only get 35, what is up with this? Should i set each gain to 34.3 so that i get 49 bridged(i came to this number by 35/24.5=1.43 and 49/1.43=34.3) or is this some other problem?

Anyone? Why is my bridged voltage 1.43 times the 2 channels separate voltage? Shouldn't it be 2 times?

rockford fosgate 601s, and it's never done this b4.

No, 2 gains. It can do stereo.
