Do you changed everything except stuff thatbeffects the woofer?*UPDATE* Well big 3 done (was 4ga, now 1/0), 150 amp alt installed, xs power D925 installed in trunk, head unit changed out from 2v pre to 4v jvc KD-X340BTS, and amp (Orion xtr extreme 2500.1dz will arrive tomorrow. Stay tuned........
Huh?????? Everything I changed will effect the Subwoofer....Do you changed everything except stuff thatbeffects the woofer?

Not really. It’s not going to be magic. It’s a install issue. Amp will help a bit but it’s only a few db gain. It will wear off I a few weeks.Huh?????? Everything I changed will effect the Subwoofer....
head unit voltage does matter when the original head unit cant put out a voltage high enough for the amp to reach proper gain settings without overly distorting. As in those head units that claim 2 volt pre-out but is not even 1 volt. Overall quality of the starting signal is important too aka better DACs, Amplify a weak distorted signal, you are gonna get distorted bass the clips prematurely. This is why stock head units and line out convertors are always a few db behind a real head unit with a real sub out, every swap i've seen done has always netted spl gains.Big three and alt effect amplifierXs925 is a tiny battery that’s prolly won’t help much. Shoulda bought a Duracell AGM g31
HU rca voltage doesn’t matter, that’s just means u gotta adjust the gain on your amp.
The Orion 2500.1 should be nice power for the xv2 though.
So are you telling me there won't be much gain adding 1,000 or more watts to a sub???? And what is installed wrong?? Installing is not rocket science, maybe all the eq settings but definitely not the install..... I need answers???Not really. It’s not going to be magic. It’s a install issue. I don’t think his HU RCA voltage is going to fix his problem.head unit voltage does matter when the original head unit cant put out a voltage high enough for the amp to reach proper gain settings without overly distorting.
