Aftermarket HU 2011 F150 w/premium Sony

I have fought with considering all the different options to keep my factory HU, but coming to the conclusion that I have spent so much on quality speakers, wiring, dampening etc. that I would be doing a disservice to myself to not run a clean signal.

No HUs are recommended for my vehicle due to climate control issues... I don’t give a crap about the climate control...

Does anyone have experience with an HU that fits the 2011 F150 well?

Can I expect a better signal using Apple car play for whatever streaming service I’m using?

My phone/ iPad is actually my receiver, but of course I want clean preouts.

You're using the tablet/phone headphone output into the amp input or the stock HU AUX jack?

You can add a second HU in a lower pocket if you want to leave the dash alone (also can be stealth).

Did you see this kit? Says it fits with Platinum trim and Sony HU.
