Hey guys i have a noobie question to ask!

here is what i got! i have:

h/o alt

with 0/1 gauge wire running from my front batterie to a second batterie

kinetik hc2400

along with the big 3!

anyways the amp i want to run takes a 0/1 guage power/and ground wire, i was wondering can i put 4 gauge wire rather then 0/1 gauge wire? like will that be safe? or should i stick with 0/1 gauge wire? there is about 1foot of space between the amp and second batteries and at 1 foot 4gauge wire will do 2700watts at 151amps

also one more fast question will i need a fuse between the second batterie and the amp? i can assume YES because of safety reasons but it is only 1foot away! And yes i plan to use a fuse!

Fuse and 4gauge should be fine IMO.
