Hey btw, what do ya'll think about the JBL w12gti sub?

A guy next door to me has one but never ran it because he dosen't have a amp to run it yet.

I read reviews on it but what I've seen, they can't take big power like 2k but 1,200w at the most.

I also read they can get very loud and has the SQ nearing the JL w7.

Neighbor said he picked it up from a garage sale for $200.

For what I heard from it in a crappy home audio box, running off around 200 watts and in a Sequoia(Toyota

suv), it sound like it'll slam and hit the lows pretty well in a ****** install.

Anyway, are they top notched subs are just mediocre?

Anyway,I am still thinking on selling my 2 hdc3 12 coppers along with my ap30001d amp.

I ran across the Orion hcca12.2 sub and was pretty amazed at what I read,saw,and heard on Youtube about this sub.

I wanna know how do they compair to the hdc3's?

I personally never heard them in person,neither have I heard my AQ's yet for that matter even though I own them.

My bet would be on the Orions.

Heck, they are huge and beefy looking and they look like they're good for about at least 70lbs.

The magnet alone look like it can be around 400 ounces as well. Lol

If I were to come of the hdc3's,i was kinda sold on the xcons or DC xl's until I ran across these ferocious looking beasts.

Well let's say if I want to go with the Orion(s), what kind of setup would any of you recommend with those subs rather i'd go for 2 or a single?

I'm sure that just one of them would do me some justice and two would probably be just overkill.

Mind you that I do have a trunk car('97 Riviera) and have a 05-06 model Tek mm4000.1d to play with.

The electrical will be stout hence that I already have it listed in my sig.

So tell me guys, what you all would suggest, the Orions(1 or 2 subs) or keep the AQ's?

Looking for monster spl with good sq as well.

Would they work well in a 4.5 cubes(for 2 or 3 cubes for 1) after displacement and if so,what frequency they would sound the best at?

Still kinda undecided but i have up until Mardi Gras to make a decision for the ultimate build. Lol

How great will they sound with music compaired to the w7's,xcon's,xl's and other top sq subs?

Your opinions,recs,suggs,and ideas are welcomed.

use the dam hdc3's... they will get loud and sound decent. no need for sub changes before you even heard the sub you have
