Hi,

New to the forum and well got a question. Help is appreciated of course. Anywho to my question:

I built a box for my Ranger 01 edge. Box dimensions are 27" w X 17" H X 12" D. I Placed a piece of wood to seperate chambers for each CVR at 13 1/2". Its a sealed box. I put poly-fil and well the cvrs hit ok but some songs the subs distorts and some songs it sounds good. What can I do to make it sound good as far as on every song like lows and about mid lows? Also I have the LPF on amp at around 80Hz and the head unit I also set to 80hz for sub as well. I thought I was supposed to match them. I set the amp sensitivity to about 70% according to audiblings site for their amps. I then constantly move the sensitivity so it doesnt distort on songs. Sometimes I even move the bass boost up just so I can get the hit on some songs and others its too much //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif .

Thanks again

will getting a better amp really help or do I need to change the box? I mean if I get another amp Im down to pay about $200 more but only if the box is ok.

Well I tryed it and it does sound a bit better. I guess I need new 6x8 for the back of cab. I just replaced my front doors to jensens 35 watt rms. What should I put in the rear cab of my truck? They are 6x8 size and my HU only does 22 rms. I have a pioneer-4800mp

Yes a better amp will help lots. Of course the box does matter but over all the amp is what you should change. Im sure you can get a nice one for 200 or under used on ebay. Just look around.

for amps try Kicker, JL, Hifonics, or memphis just to name a few. Kicker primarily i really like their amps. Any of these listed will kill your audiobahn amp. If you cant afford those right now save up. Its better to slowly piece together a high quality system than going cheap and getting it all.

see I would love to buy Hifonics BXi1206D but my question is will I really see a difference from the audiobahn I have? In some songs I feel like its a buzzing bass so Im wondering if that will change with amp. I just dont want to waste my money thats all. Thanks

I have a Bx1206D powering 2 12W3v2's and thus far i have to say i don't like it at all. My buddy has the same amp powering 2 12 CVR's and it doesn't sound all that great either.
