Reading this thread again and I am kind of in amazement that it happened. You sped into an intersection where you had to have seen cars stopping, then going slowly through it, and you just hauled *** right into it. The accident could have been much worse. I mean, you could have easily killed someone. I'm really not trying to bust your balls personally it just kind of bothers me because I or someone I know could be the victim of some kid not paying attention to what he is doing or driving recklessly.

Either way, regardless of who is to blame or any of that other shit, this kind of thing is exactly the reason 16-22 year old boys pay such astronomical insurance costs. It sucks, but I'll be damned if it isn't justified.

Makes you wish they were still making cars the way they used to with STEEL instead of plastic. Then again, rice burners have always been a little flimsy.

then only lane with cars stopped was the turning lane, which is always backed up.

thats why i couldnt see her coming from that side of the intersection.

i didnt see anyone slowing down, just that one truck speed infront of me.

yea that really sucks to such a nice car ... btw i would of got that if it wasnt so much

i just got hit by an army amphibious truck (14 tons), were both in the far right lane, im turnin right into a parking lot, he didnt give me enough space and couldnt stop in time. need i say more?

his arguement: im in the 2nd to right lane, i cut infront of him making a 90degree turn right into the parking lot, i got hit in the Fing BACK !! NO SENSE AT ALL

sorry to the black people who arnt prejidous but im getting really sick of black people giving me so much attitude (my sister experiences it the worst lol) but its a black woman cop and 2 black army officers, in a poor area, vs a white boy. not even that, im at sams club (like cosco but cheaper //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif ) i have one of those doley cart things, i pull up to the counter, the black woman looks at me and starts talkin to her friend. im waiting 2 mins, "excuss me can you ring me up". shes like excuss yourself. i had to tell my sister to chill the **** out cause earlier before 2 black employees moving the shopping carts around totally blocked her off in the parking lot and left the carts there and walked away, she got out and yelled at em, they moved em. but the black cashier made me push the cart (really big/heavy and not easy to move) around the counter, where shes supposed to come out from behind the counter and ring it up (previous customr was black and thats what she did and previous times we go thats how they do it). oh and then gave us the hardest time about using our sams club card ..... we have a joint account, i gave her mine, then made my sister go back to her car to get her id to verify. i really do not like to get the manager involved but i was right about to.

see i grew up around black kids, i get along with them fine, where in the 21st century race should not be an issue anymore .... just my 2 cents, sorry if i offended anyone or u want 5 mins of your life back, cant do it.

Boys pay a ridiculous amount toward car insurance because of street racing, and we are seen as more agressive. The kid made an error of judgment. It is not like he could not handle his car, or music was blaring, was on a cell phone, putting make up on, doing nails. Crap female drivers do A LOT more than male. At least males are attentive when they show-boat.

But in all seriousness, glad you could walk away from this mistake. Next time take things slower, and take more notice of the situation. You won't get somewhere any later by stopping.

Sorry to hear about this....the Jeep in my av was totalled when some Cuban idiot from Miami ran a red light in his 18 wheeler and hit me. No apology, no English skills, nothing. Thank God nobody was injured. And I'm not calling Cubans idiots...HE was an idiot.

My car insurance on full coverage, including all my aftermarket stuff covered is probally cheaper than most people on here, & I'm only 17. You have to shop around you will get good rates.

the thing that gets me (separate from this accident) is when you approach an intersection where power has been reset and your lights are flashing red, IT DOES NOT MEAN PROCEED WITH CAUTION, It means stop.

I've been to these where my light is flashing yellow and there's is flashing red. I slow down but proceed and they don't have the right to pull out, but they always do. If yours is flashing red, WAIT for those who's light is flashing yellow to clear the intersection lol

Yeah, flashing red light = stop sign. That doesn't mean it's a 4-way stop either and you are not ok to go ahead just because you came to a stop.

update:

ok so state farm gave us 3 places to tow the car to, my dad chose a chevy dealership....

talked to the guy today and he told my dad that the damage isnt as bad as it seems, the rear wheel is only messed up cause of a bolt or something.

he says the car is worth $24K and it shouldnt cost that much to fix it; which would take 2 weeks!!

but when state farm decides what they are going to do ill let you guys know. my dad said hes gonna stop by on friday and see what the guy says then on estimates and what not.

my dad said if they fix it, he's gonna trade it in, but we owe 19K on it, which would be added onto the new car.

so i have a question....

if u trade a car in thats been in an accident, obviously the dealer knows, but i mean what happens to the value of the car now that its fixed???

yea if we get the car back and we keep it, i may have to find something to do to bring it back harder and improved, not sure what though.

but if i get a new car, it probably wont be until summer vacation, and lets just say i will work all summer to have that thing on point as far as audio. and if its an SUV? i will work as long as i can to throw 2 18's from this dumb brand that is "if" spelled backwards that will shut down anything in my county used as a daily.

i had a job, but hated it (dishwashing) so i quit morning of accident, hence me not trying to find another job.

oh 2's were in the plans along time ago, it just wont happen for a while now.

no subs and amps were all fine.

the subs in box + amp + battery are sitting near my bed.

do bad grounds lead to less output? because the ground in my car looked pretty bad IMO, had like 10 screws going to it....

yea i feel u. i used to have a 95 regal that got totalled on da freeway. exactly 1 month later i got da imp through da bellagios on dat ***** 7 screens and da JL's in the trunk lol i couldent even remember what the regal looked like. good luck in whateva happens.
