Nitro R/c Cars And Trucks

like mentioned i would get w/e one your local shop stocks the most parts for. it's a given these trucks bust parts left and right when you take them bashing, so it's either a quick trip down the road or 3-5 days waiting for stuff in the mail.

i had a monster gt for my first truck and i liked it alot, but i was forced to sell it because no parts were stocked for it locally and i got sick and tired of special ordering replacement parts. after that i got a t-maxx 3.3 because that's what my shop specialized in. it's just something to think about.

You know one of these days I need to set the date on my camera lol //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
Who doesn't?

You guys are making want to make the drive to edmonton to buy R/C stuff.... grrr

ofna mutilator or the crt would be lighter than a "monster truck" and from what i seen on the track are tougher as they dont have the complicated gear box issues (they dont have reverse). only advantage a "monster truck" might have is pulling power and ground clearance. i own a revo and i think it is just an ok truck while a truggy is lighter excellerates FASTER and handles 2 times better at least. no complicated gear box just a center diff. almost everyone i know who owns a monster truck plus a truggy or a buggy you will see their monster truck torn down more often getting parts replaced. also in about any RTR the stock servos ****

went to a local shop that didn't exist 4 years ago yesterday

they stock EVERYTHING cen racing, allot of HPI, traxxas and they own a huge track 45 minutes from their shop.

what do you guys think about buggies or stadium trucks? are they as capable as monsters offroad, but more agile?? i mean they cant crawl lil rocks like the monsters but besides that

reccomend me some of those to look at.

cen looks pretty nice, what they had at the shop was nice, but at the same time, the owner told me hes a factory sponsered racer for them, so of course he'll be pushing his CEN products.

cen mantis is a truggy

As far as the new craze started by the traxxas slash it is a class that will sure to grow. traxxas released the slayer but before fall hits Associated will have the SC8 which is based on the RC8 buggy that would clown stomp a revo/slayer on the race track. At our track we have 2 guys who qualified for the IFMAR worlds later this year and one races an lst2 (lightened up by a few pounds lol) and he is still laps faster 1-2 faster in qualifying 4+ in a main in races with a truggy or a buggy vs a monster truck. for bashing in the yard grass at a normal length a buggy is faster than a truggy or a monster truck. where it gets interesting is on a rough blown out track a truggy can run faster than a buggy because it handles like a buggy, has big tires where it isnt as easy to flip in ruts, they also have larger fuel tanks and can run larger engines. the 3 diff designed truggies and buggies are REAL easy to maintain and work on than any monster truck. Ask Ramos lap times between revos and his RC8 LOL

On that track my lap times average 9 seconds faster with my buggy than with the monster truck lol . Buggies are a little qucker //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

track like that would be what 1/3 to 1/4 lap? they actually respond to what you make it do...

LOL they did away with the quad jump here it was 32' from first crest to the 4th i could barely clear it then Al Horne would clear it by 4-6'..//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif was hard on the chassis

buggy more power to weight ratio, more nimble and when they jump they fly. truggy would be second as they can be faster on a rutted blown out track, tend to be more stable (land better because they have a wide stance and a lower center of gravity than a monster truck) to get a truggy or a monster truck to excellerate as fast or faster time in would take alot of engine and those tend to not stay as peppy as long as a good .21 powering 30% ++ less weight

cool what buggies should i look into?

do you have any experience with Cen? cuz locally thats the best bet for support.

best buggies would be like a hotbodies d8, hyper 8.5, rc8, xray 808 mugen or losi. thing about a losi though the drive train lasts about a season and it costs about 100-140 to replace the worn parts. front end center drive shafts are what go fast because they are angled so much
