Nitro R/c Cars And Trucks

Losi Aftershock! Best radio of the bunch, forward only (less rotating mass and easier work), dual steering servos, 4 big fat shocks instead of 8 wimpys. Only thing, stock exhaust is trash and needs change after break in.

How many Duratrax cars/trucks have you ran? Or is this a "it must be crap because it's cheap"?

We have 6 of the Duratrax EvaderST trucks at the local track that we let the newbies run to get them hooked on RC. They get beat on more than anything else. Flips, cartwheels, hitting the wall full speed, and they just keep going.

I have owned 0 Duratrax products, BUT that is because I did research online before buying my first R/C (Sportmaxx 2WD) and saw every person on every internet RC forum say they ****, break easy and are trash.

Kind of like when people come here after getting some Sony Xplods and a Jensen headunit from Wal Mart and come here and wonder why everyone says it sucks even though technically it does 'work' you could have done much better for your money.

Yeah...pretty much anything Losi kicks A$$. I've run most of their electrics at one time or another. Their build quality and attention to detail is second to none.

i had a friend that bought that same truck and it broke the first day. fixed it and the same part broke again after a few days. i have a traxxas stampeed and it can take 12 foot air at the skatepark, only thing ive ever replaced on that truck is brushes and motors.

Whatever makes you sleep better. I'm not going to get into a pissing match with a child.

To the OP.....do the research, check with your local hobby shop or track and see what is going to fit YOUR needs the best.

yo car audio dudes
5 years ago (holy shit its been that long) in like 8th grade me and a couple of friends were into nitro rc cars and trucks alott like i had a couple of duratrax, team associated and traxxas cars but we stopped doing it after like a year cuz it got toooooo expensive to fix and replace parts cuz we would race em and make them jump ponds and shittt haha,

but earlier today at the local skatepark, there was these dudes with 1/8 monsters launching them up banks and off ledges and now i think i wanna get back into them, but now only off road trucks since they are more fun.

ive seen threads on here bout them, so someone who is currently into nitro r/c give me some recomendations for trucks

thanks nigs
I have a Savage x 4.6 that has the upgraded 3 speed in it and an Axial .32 that doesnt have a quart through it yet with a turbo head (optional) and the rest of it is basically stock but this thing absolutely flys!!! I have it boxed up at a friends house and ready for sale we put it on ebay but no one bought it. let me know if you are still interested in buying a monster truck. if not I have a buggy that may be up for sale as well. bump box, extra parts, wheels tires, carry bag. getting out of the R/C world and into or onto a sportbike again. ask anyone you want but you cannot beat teh Savage as a basher!!

Do yourself a favor and go look in your local hobby shops and see what they sell, Traxxas is very popular as well as HPI. these are your top 2 sellers because of the RTR models they sell. other brands are better at certain things but if you want a basher the Savage is the way to go. in my opnion anyway.

for bashing right now, you almost cant beat the Associated MGT. Price, durability and speed are all its good points. If the LHS carries parts for it, then go for it!!

Other than that:

Traxxas Revo (more of a racer but a great basher too)

Losi LST2 (my preferred racer and basher, but most expensive)

also

http://www.ultimatehobbies.com has the best prices around!!

First, check with your local hobby shop see what they have. mine sells mostly losi and traxxxas so i stick with them mostly. but i love losi anywho.

Second, if youve been out the rc game for a minute look around and spend as little as you can on beater to see if you want one and can handle one know what i mean. spending some serious cashe on a rtr and then not liking it or knowing the hobby can kill the fun quick. nitro is tempermental if you dont take the time. read and ask all the dumb questions.

Third, find out where people race and hang out with these for deals and options, maybe even the formentiond beater.

it took me some serious years i mean 3-4 with my xxxnts and my clodbusters back in the day to be racing and not be affaid to take out my schumacher menance.

Dude, Check out my ad on here.....No joke, No BS, the absolute best deal your gonna find anywhere. I just need to finishing pay jacob for my amps. Absolutely the only reason I'm letting them go for this price period.

Just take a close look at everything thats included. Absolutely R-T-R. Even comes with batteries in the radios. And Chargers and batteries for all 3 electric start wands.I've got over 500 in just the Jato 3.3 alone.

I'm sure anyone thats into r/c cars will verify that this is a steal!!!

I have owned several from the original evader ST to axis 1/8th buggy. I like the stress tech gaurantee on the parts. But there is a reason most hobby shops that carry duratrax carry A LOT of duratrax parts. Most all of the Duratrax vehicles I have owned have had a weak front end assembly. They would take hits on the arms okay, but a good solid hit closer to the hingpins and the front end would explode. The monster trucks are a little better about this as they use a somehwat captured design now. But I would take a savage , monster Gt, maxx, or revo over them anyday. Just my 2 cents //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Good truck, but tend to be hard and exspensive to find parts for.

Lots to choose from, but before buying I would check to see if you have a local hobby shop. If so then let available parts help you decide which one. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
