5 years ago (holy shit its been that long) in like 8th grade me and a couple of friends were into nitro rc cars and trucks alott like i had a couple of duratrax, team associated and traxxas cars but we stopped doing it after like a year cuz it got toooooo expensive to fix and replace parts cuz we would race em and make them jump ponds and shittt haha,

but earlier today at the local skatepark, there was these dudes with 1/8 monsters launching them up banks and off ledges and now i think i wanna get back into them, but now only off road trucks since they are more fun.

ive seen threads on here bout them, so someone who is currently into nitro r/c give me some recomendations for trucks

I am not 'currently' into them but have an RC10GT and a Team Losi Mini-T I am probably going to try and sell soon just don't have the time for it.

Check out the local hobby shops and see what brands they carry parts for. Whenever possible, order parts online, it will be cheaper. But having parts locally is nice if you need to replace a part right away.

The Traxxas trucks are good too....but the Jato, Tmaxx and Revo are all 1/10th scale, so they will be smaller than the 1/8th scale trucks.

This is what I am currently running - http://www.hobbypeople.net/gallery/145620.asp it's just a kit that you need to add a engine and electronics, but it's more of a racing truck, not really for bashing.

You can't go wrong with the Savage...most hobby shops carry replacement parts....and you can beat them hard before breaking anything. Had one for awhile and never had issues with it.

No matter which one you choose...Take your time breaking in the engine....it's the most boring time, but it will pay off in the end.

They're not bad, a buddy of mine has one and loves it. Great truck for bashing. Was called the WarHead...then they came out with this new version.

traxxas, associated or losi, hpi is cool but i found that most the parts come in "parts trees" and cost more for 1 part you need and a bunch you dont

For bashing...Duratrax is perfect. They take a beating and are very easy to work on. If you were asking about racing, I would say no way. But for bashing, it's good.
