Okay , so here is my newbie question... please have mercy! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
I have an Alpine CDA-7894 HU, and I am buying 6.5" components for the front (e.g. Polk db6500) and some 6.5" Coax for the rear. I was planning on using the HU to power the components - do you think this would work, or would an amp be necessary?
That leads me to my next question... if I use the HU to power the components, I as thinking of eventually getting a mono sub amp to run a 10 (Image Dynamics IDQ) to give me some low end. How much of a sub amp would I need in this situation?
OR, I could eventually buy a reasonable 5-channel amp to power the system... (who makes a decent 5-ch amp these days? I am not looking for anything huge, just enough to give me a decent qualuty sound for my XM...)
Thanks for helping this old man out!
