Newbie with lots of ?????????s

First off let me say HELLO, I hope to learn alot here. Now, lets start with the questions. Here is what I currently have in my dodge ram quad cab;

The hu is a Pioneer DEH-P4100, the front speakers are Alpine SPS 609 6"x9"s and I have Alpine SPS 600 6.5"s in the back. I am wanting to change out the fronts to JL Audio TR650-CSi components. Should I also change out the rears? I'm in need of an amp also and found a JL Audio G4500 4-Channel Class A/B Car Amplifier

RMS Power Rating at 14.4V:

4 ohms: 80 watts x 4 chan.

2 ohm: 125 watts x 4 chan.

Bridged,8 ohms: 160 watts x 2 chan.

Bridged,4 ohms: 250 watts x 2 chan.

RMS Power Rating at 12.5V:

4 ohms: 60 watts x 4 chan.

2 ohm: 90 watts x 4 chan.

Bridged,8 ohms: 120 watts x 2 chan.

Bridged,4 ohms: 180 watts x 2 chan.

will this be o.k.? Not looking for competition sounds by any means just a nice clean sounding system. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

What is your budget???

The JL G amps are Solid, but for the price of that amp i would look into Cadence amps.

When you add speakers you'll need to add deadener.

JL's comps are ok sounding.

I mean you find better for the just a little higher price.

look around a little more

Welcome to the forum. You can leave those rears alone and you will be just fine. The ideal here is to get a nice set of components for your front stage. Front stage is all important for a good sounding system. You can get lots of ideals from others around here, and do some seaching. Good luck to ya. Hang around here a while and will be able to spend your money wisely.

What are ohms? What is the difference sound wise if you hook for 2 ohm or 4 ohm?
