newbie with amp troubles

they are wired from + to + and - to -, then out to the amp, how would you suggest how to wire them

i have good wire and the ground is solid i think they are just hooked up wrong

i could have the gain all the down and the amps heat up and shut down. they sound good when they are on but it doean't last

So you are only bridging one pair of terminals on the amp?

Wire each voice coil to each bridged pair of terminals, (one voice coil to one bridged pair, and the other voice coil to the second pair of terminals.)
