What does it mean when a sub is "tuned at 45 hz"? I was just curious since I already have a sub and amp but just wondered what it meant.

Subwoofers arent tuned, enclosures are. The tuning frequency is the frequency where there will be the most output.

Are you meaning when a sub enclosure is 'tuned' to this frequency or that?

If so that measurement is indicative of the frequency which a ported enclosure has been constructed to create its peak output at. Or a very narrow band of frequencies centered at whatever frequency the tuning is to...
