newbie needs help with wiring speakers pleaaaase heeeelp!

I'm new to car audio an I need help wiring my amp to my subs I have two kicker l7s 12s an a audiobahn 2300 hct amp. I'm tring to get it too 1 ohms. Do I hook up the one wire of positive from my amp to one of the speakers positve an the other wire that's from the amp that is the negative one to the other speaker negative? Please help thanks!
