I have a rather small sub enclosure in the back of my jeep wrangler ,

It was made for Jeep by Mopar ,

I believe its got like an 6 or 8 " woofer a couple of tweeters and is pushed by something like a 50 Watt amp .

Recently the bass stopped working ,(tweeters still work)

My question is: How do I tell if its the woofer or the amp thats bad , or possibley the wiring??

and if it is the amp,

I can't find a 50 watt replacement amp anywhere around here.

could I get a 100 watt amp to replace it or would I have to stay with the same size?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

if the tweeters are powered by the amp as well then its not the amp. the easiest thing would be to remove the sub and try attaching a new speaker. if it works then its the sub, and if not then it is the wiring. if the tweeters are not powered by the amp and you try a new speaker but it doesnt work, try a new speaker and new wires. if its the amp, i would not replace it with anything larger than what is in there currently unless you increase the power of the speakers. if you get too big of an amp you could blow your speakers
