I have purchased a alpine pdx-5 (4 x 100w) and alpine pxe-h660 signal processor to install in my 2011 Sonata. I'll be using the stock head unit so I'll need to run the speaker out wires to the processor, rca cables between processor and amp, output speakers wires to 4 doors (sub to be added later.

I've never done an install like this before so I'm need info on the best way to route wires and cables.

I have a 4ga wire kit and plan on mounting each unit under the front seats. I understand it is best to keep the power wires away from the speaker wires but...

1. Where is the best place to route the power wires so they don't get pinched, down the center console or down the side?

2. How do you install the ground cable to the car? Find an existing bolt (seat bolt maybe) or screw it directly to the car chassis under the seat?

3. Screwing down the amp and processor... do you just drill some holes through the carpet under the seats and use sheet metal screws to secure them?

Thanks advance for you help

is there any way you can fit the processor in the dash, that would make you life a lot easier.

as far as where you run the wires, your just going to have to take the car apart and see what will work best for it, no 2 model of car is the same.

as far as grounding you can use the seat mount. but make sure you grind down the area so it is free from paint and other obstructions for the best connection.

often times when mounting amps in a car, especially on carpet the simplest solution is to use Velcro, a small square on each corner of the amp will hold it fine, ive got it holding my deka 9a31 in place in my trunk and it doesnt budge.

This is my thought as well. Would be a much better box volume if you could buy the 12" version of those subs.
