Newbie: Multi-channel or mon amp for new set-up?

we have a problem

the 62.7, the 692.7, the crunch amp, the headunit, and the bazooka sub, all added up to 660 and then figure another 60 or so for shipping

720 that is wayyyyy over your threshold.

if you want to stay with this that is fine if you want i can maybe piece together a system that will cost a little less.

You should definitely install it yourself. You will learn a lot of new things in the process and won't be afraid to try and fix things if something goes wrong.

Okay, I'm back...

So if I do go the self install route, do I just grab as many Crutchfield instructions as possible? What's the best way to prep myself for the install, keeping mind I have never done such a thing (but am willing to to save the $$$ //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif)

And what type of wiring / harnesses should I be looking for? Is this similar to home theater speaker cabling at all, in terms of gauge count etc...? Do the components include decent wiring?

Thanks again...

(PS: The amp you recommended looks like it should do the trick for what I am envisioning... The sub also looks do-able, at least to my clueless eyes... Thanks for looking out...)

Back again again:

So what's all this mess about "leaving in your stock rear speakers because new ones can be overkill and actually degrate the SQ" I've seen floating around...?

If that is true, that kinda changes up my whole game plan...
