Gunz That Turn on Nunz
Bro, with a chevy venture, you can fit an 18 in there or a pair of 15s, fk them 2 12s if you can go big then go bigThe vehicle is a chevy venture. The head unit I believe is just the stock one so I would probably need a better one wouldn't I?
Rules of getting a system that blows people the fk away
1: Dont Skimp on the amp, Buying anything related to boss, crunch pyle pyramid power acoustik etc will result in humiliation because those will blow up your speakers while you are giving your friends demos. Nothing worse then busting out a fire extinguisher during a deomo.
2: Proper box is EVERYTHING. You can have a 5000$ woofer but put it in a sh*tty cheap pre-made box bought from online stores will get you ZERO output and sound like garbage. Proper custom ported box, We got a member on the forum that builds and ships to your door at very good pricing probably a 1/4 of what car audio stores charge you. His name is Boomsday, he builds great boxes and can paint and customize for you too if you wish or you can do it yourself.
3: Since your new, keep your power usage LOW. Power drains can really mess with everything up causing clipping and distortion if your voltage drops below 12. If you ask how can you get loud without a lot of power? answer is in step 2, a good box will make up for that.
4: Know when is your limit, do not bass boost, crank gains or volumes up and think you can get away with it. You'll easily blow stuff if you dont recognize the limits of your system and equipment. If its not getting any louder then DO NOT TURN IT UP anymore, in fact you are probably already clipping it back it down a notch
5: Dont waste money on capacitors, Look up what the big 3 upgrade is and do that along with an AGM (absorbent glass matt) kinetik, deka, sears diehard platinum, odyssey are all much better batteries then your typical optima yellowtop.
6: When shopping, do NOT look at max power ratings its all BS.
