Newbie looking for a new Head unit

I'm a newbie when it comes to car stereos. I'm looking to replace my OEM stock radio in my 03 Protege. I was looking at an Eclipse 5435 or a Kenwood X789.... i'm also looking for other suggestions... Style is a minor factor but it MUST have or be able to have an AUX input.

any suggestions would be greatly appreciated..

Nice HU, for sure. And would do all the original poster wants it to do and then some. Who know what the bidding will get up to, though? Hella-popular HU with 3 days+ still left on the listing.
If it could be won at a decent price, though, certainly worth looking into.

It all depends on which Eclipse you're comparing with which Alpine or which Pioneer. They all have entry models and higher end models.
