Got a alpine head unit 800 watt powerbass monoblock 2 jl audio subs an 2 6.5 jl audio speakers. My question is why does my subs stop playing for a few seconds then come back on? Does this alot. It didn't do this I'm past just started a few weeks ago. I've redone my ground wire checked my connections all look good. Getting 13.1 volts on power wire coming in from battery. I've noticed the subs pop when I crank truck also have seen the subs **** in backwards instead of out like suppose to. Sounds crazy I know but it's what's going on anyone got any idea wth is wrong

Good radio and speakers. Weakest link is the amplifier, so I assume that is the cause if your issue. I would have suggested checking power wires but you already have and issue remains. I think popping subs indicate the amp's soft turn on circuit has failed but try this out. Disconnect RCAs and use a 3.5mm to RCA cable to connect your phone to the amp and use it as you would your radio. If issues subside, then amp and it's wiring is ok.

13.1 volts with the vehicle running and amp playing?

Sort of sounds like your amp is cutting out. I would check all the coils on your subs and make sure they all read fairly closely to each other. You could also have an RCA issue with damaged RCA's.

What kind of box are your JL subs in?

Why do people ask questions in the introduction section? I'll never understand it.
