Newbie Here, need help

Im looking to get a couple of 12's for the trunk of my '97 civic 2-door. I was thinking L7's but if you can think of something better let me know. I got somewhere like 400 to burn on this thing, so anything that fits in the budget will work. Im looking for some heavy kick, but good sound is just as important. I need to figure out what kind of subs to get, though I might just settle for something on craigslist or ebay if it saves me some money. I just need to know what kind of amp i need, and whether or not I need to do anything else to the car to make it work.

Kicker L7's will put out some good SPL, but not the best SQ

SPL= Sound pressure level= loudness

SQ= Sound Quality

You could get a decent amp for that for about 200, i would shoot for something like a kicker 1200.1, that should be a good matchup

Im getting a used setup for 250 which includes an l7 with a box, and a Power Acoustik LT9802 amp. I the amp doesnt sound very good, but its a bargain and all I will need is wiring to get it finished.

come on dude.

that is install dependent. i've done a few installs with L7's & L5's & they are very accurate & sound good.

just put them in the right home & they perform.

get some kicker CVX's. Pretty decent subs.
