I know UP6's are around $350, and UR's are a bit more, As far as power, and honest 50w will make them rock if the doors are properly sound deadened. I wrote a review on my UP6's on this forum if interested.

I habe the ur6s and would recommen at leat 100 per ch. According to my birth sheet I have around 90 to each channel and they seem to want more

why? They are two levels below the ur6s. I was actually going to get the up6 but they were on backorder at the time so I had to get something different

The UR6S are a 2-way set. They are somewhat similar to the regular UR6 components, but the UR6S have a multi-layered honeycomb cone. Also, they technically aren't 2 levels above the UP6. Both the UR6 and UR6S fall into the Ultimate Reference Series, just their cone materials set them apart. And DLS has discontinued the UR6 here in the US, as the UR6S is only minutely more expensive, but becuase of the cone materials, is said to be a little bit better of a driver.

Well I stand corrected it just looks like its two levels up up on there site. Why are they discontinuing the ur6?

Mainly just becuase the two are so similar in pricing and specs. They feel that the UR6S is a better/more popular driver, and decided to stick with it over he UR6.
