Clearance may/may not be an issue. I personally have never messed with a Grand Marquis, so I really couldn't tell you. Hopefully someone else with a similar car can chime in. In my car, I did have clearance issues. I don't have much space between where the speaker mounts and the window track so I had to be sure to space the speaker far enough out so that it wouldn't touch the window when rolled down. Not sure how much work is involved in popping your door panels off(unless the speakers are accessible without removing the panels), but a tape measure can answer that for you.
