newbie amp/sub question

Alright, so i'm trying to figure out, if i have a two channel amp and im running two 4 ohm subs to the amp, should i be looking at the amps 4 ohm power or 2 ohm power?

Just trying to make a good match of an amp to the subs

DVC you need 4 or 1. SVC you need 8 or 2

its dvc, so since the speakers run at 200watts rms each, i need to find a 150-250 watt rms x 2 at 4 ohm amp, correct?

You need to find a 500 x 1 at 1 or 4

why would i want a mono rather than 2 channel?

btw, they are cdt hd-690 components

im still new to car audio, but from the reading i've been doing they're kind of considered subwoofers even though they are 6.9's, so i apologize if i am wrong

Subwoofers play a mono signal. A low frequancy signal.

so these arent subwoofers? i was under the impression they were, just not near as powerful or hit as low as regular subs. Would i still be looking for the same kind of amp?
