how bout read the specs on the the garbage alpine amps? real simple... 2ohm ran in paralleled... 1 ohm load.

I would completely disagree of Alpine amps being garbage. Based on formal tests I have seen, pretty much every Alpine amp of the current generation did excellent. (May need google translator: PDX-F6 MRX-V70 MRP-F30 MRP-m100)

Alpine may have run out of the mill speakers and other products, but amplifiers are excellent IMO, whether cheap MRX/MRP or the expensive PDX line.

It would have been helpful if for one you explain which Type-R you have. The 2010 model had 600watt RMS power handling. The 2012 claims 1000watts RMS. Then there is the question of whether you have 2ohm DVC or 4ohm DVC (either could be loosely described as "2 ohm" depending on what you try to say.)
