newbie amp question

I am trying to build a low end system that will sound halfway decent, my question is what is a good amp for around 125 dollars ? I have 2 mtx 12pc1757 subwoofers and am still working on the head unit. thanks for any help , there are so many choices i wanted to get some good advice.

you sure that's the correct model number for the subs? Google isn't turning up any links. If you can find the same subs you own online and link us I'm sure I'd be able to recommend a good amp for your budget.

on the back of the mtx subs it has ,

dual 4 ohms - 200 watts

a pair of dual 4ohm can be run @ 1ohm... there are a million amps that will EASILY do 400~ @ 1ohm. Either look around here in the classifieds or jump on ebay and find an amp that claims to do 2000~ @ 1ohm and you should get the power you need

I would recommend you go with a mono amp, and no, sony xplode aren't any good. A good rule of thumb is if you can get it at walmart, you should avoid it.

get that and wire your subs to 2ohm, i have the amp powering my components right now but last year i bridged it to 400rms to power a kenwood sub, its a very nice amp specially for the price.
