New type-x in temporary box. PICS

I just replaced amps this weekend. I got a PA 2200d going to them 2 Type X's now. And "Holey Jeezus" Man they are'nt afraid to take some power. These subs sound great with some good power put to them.

lawls... thanks for the good deal!

Oh and here's pics of the box from different angles, it is quite massive for a prefab box....please excuse my messy trunk and wiring job... i did in like 20 minutes in teh dark with no flashlight and minimal tools...

I love my x's too! After i got out of class, and borrowed the $45 bench fee and dropped my kenwood amp off at the shop, my little bro and i played around with the x's and some test tones.

I've got 1000 rms running to each sub, each have 2.0cf and are tuned to 30hz. 35-50hz are BEASTLY!! I looked up and saw my sunroof had a good 1.5-2 inches of flex going on, so i reached up to close it, and it WAS closed!!! These things are disgusting on low notes! I'm def. in love, and i haven't even broken them in yet, i've got my gain set nominally, but turned the sub output on my headunit down to 0 again after i set the gain, and they're still ridiculous.

30hz needs some work, i didn't realize how hard it is to set your subsonic on such low notes, they're nearly innaudible, you need to look at your shirt blowing around to see if they're playing //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

... lols... i think my X might still be breaking in.. that or its just doesnt like bass guitar //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eyebrow.gif.fe2c18d8720fe8c7eaed347b21ea05a5.gif. Maybe its the box... probably. Im thinking about going back to a sealed box... im too used to the cardiac failure flat response curve. Im having problems with notes in the 100+Hz range. What about yours? before i go and spend all this money getting a better box built (probably tcab:yumyum:) im going to change my amp, cuz its not gettin shit for watts, i think its gettin like 450 rms @ 14 Volts... sad that my amp isnt 2 ohm stable. Great amp, great sub, terrible combo. Keeping the bass relatively low so i dont clip the speaker to death.. that would be Uber suckage
