New to Car Audio

So I've never put in or picked out a car audio system, and I'm having a hard time deciphering all the brand's and types of systems there are. I wanted to know what kind of subs, amp, and wiring I could get for $500 and what would fit behind the seats of an 86 Pontiac Fiero.
Welcome and good luck. You're probably gonna have to get some great deals on used equipment to stay below your $500 criteria but I guess it could be done.

John Kuthe...

I could help you. I have the old stereo out of my daughters fiero. I have subs, amp, double din. I left the speakers in the car when we sold it and a cheaper double din. Let me know if you're interested. I could point you to everything you need, what I have and keep you at or under 500.
