New to amps, need help

New to amps? Hmmm...
First off; running at 1ohm sounds like garbage. Sure, you're amp is making more power but it'll sound really sloppy...like your amp isn't big enough. And with the wild impedance swings sub have with program, you'll be throwing away said amp within 1 year.

Those subs; what are they? Did you already buy them? If you didn't...hold off. A good amp will make lower end subs (if in the right box) sound pretty **** good and get pretty loud. But good subs off of a $150 flea market grade amp? It'll sound like crap. Always invest in a good amp as it's the heart & soul of any system. A $150 amp with a 2000w sticker on it is probably not a good amp.
Most of the better Korean amps are very reliable at 1 ohm these days and most folks couldn't hear the difference. OP is on a budget and probably can't afford a bigger amp than he needs to run at higher impedence.

I wold also reccomend not cheaping out on an amp. Buy something good (used for preference) and if you don't abuse it it will hold re-sale value when you're ready to upgrade or just try something different.

Dude, you need to get an education before telling anyone anything. Please refrain from posting until you know how stereos work. There are many knowledgeable people here and they can see you are going to end up screwing up newbies with your disinformation.

I'm really new to everything really lol. I was planning on buying the subs off a guy on here because they seemed like good subs for a good price, but he hasn't gotten back to me yet. Is there a good amp that would go with the subs for under $200? or is that out of the question.

The Zx1500 you recommended is over $400 which is more than I would like to spend. I also decided to go with the D4's. Someone messaged me about an Alpine MRP-1000 for under 200. Would that be a good amp to power 2 d4's?

No.. You need a 1ohm stable amp.. Alpine is 2ohms

You can find the kicker for $150 bucks, you just need to do some work. But if you are still getting D4s it wont work anyway.

FYI, you'd find the Kicker amp USED.... But if you're getting the D4's then this is made much easier. I'd suggest the amp I have, as I always do. I have an Elemental Designs 9.1, and it's rated for 1200w @1ohm @12.5v. So that will certainly get the job done. And is found for around $200 used. You've got good subs man, don't skimp on the amp. Maybe look for a Sundown 1500. But the absolute LEAST you should be looking to spend on your amp is $200.

Okay so I should be looking for an amp that are 1200w RMS @ 1 ohm or higher? Since my 2 subs are 600 RMS each? Thank you for your help!
Yes, if your buying 4 ohm dvc subs. It's wiser to run at lower ohms as you see more output from your amps and the supposive "sq loss" is minimal.
