I have a 2006 Ford F150 Super Crew pickup truck that needs a new audio system.

My budget is $1500.00

Limitations are as follows: The subwoofer and its amp must fit under the rear seats. Mids must remain in the doors (5x7 openings) with their amp fitting under the passenger seat

Please share your thoughts on HU, AMPS, SUBS, SPEAKERS

you can try a thunderform sub enclosure http://mtx.com/caraudio/products/manualsQuickInstall/thunderforms/F150C04_Specs.pdf

i use one made for my dakota, pretty good compromise between thump and passenger space. it comes in an amplified version, or just the enclosure. the mtx sub included is decent, but can be swapped for a more powerful shallow mount driver.

speakers are totally objective, almost anything aftermarket is worth whatever you're willing to pay for.

Boston and JL put out a very nice crisp clean sound... you could run the 4 speakers off of a 300/4 JL amp... very nice SQ setup

The older alpine amps were small and would fit under the seet. Mbquart 6x8 discus.
